Work at height refers to any work activity where there is a potential risk of a person falling a distance that can cause injury. This includes tasks on ladders, scaffolds, platforms, roofs, or even next to open edges. Trainees will gain hands-on experience in rescuing peers from towers or ladders using a lift-and-lower method. The curriculum delves deep into safe work methods on derricks and similar structures. By the end, participants will be well-versed with OH&S regulations, associated safety gear maintenance, and relevant standards and practices for working safely at heights.

    height using preset systems
  • Understanding of key terminology associated with rescue from height equipment
  • Rescue Preparation and the rescue plan
  • Emergency service and emergency response
  • Hazard Identification during rescue at height situation
  • Fall suspension trauma
  • Rescue at height methodology
  • Rescue at height equipment, Identification and use
  • Ascension to and rescue of the victim
  • Determine the rescue method and rescue position
  • Identify the appropriate stretcher for given rescue scenarios
  • Recall basic principles for use of stretchers in rescue scenarios

Assessment & Certificate Validity

Theory evaluation, both before and after the course, involves multiple-choice questions. Participants need to secure at least 75% on the post-course test. For the hands-on practical test, a minimum of 75% is required for successful completion. After successfully finishing the training program, attendees will be awarded the TTI Personal Card & Certification. The certificate's validity extends for one year from the date of the training session.
