Are you planning to take the LEEA Approved Appointed Person for Lifting Operations (APLO) Course in the UAE? Before you enroll, it is critically important to understand a key requirement: hands-on experience in lifting operations is mandatory.

At TALENT TRAINING INSTITUTE L L C Training Institute, we often receive inquiries from individuals who are new to the lifting industry but want to register for the LEEA APLO certification. Unfortunately, without prior lifting experience, you may not pass the course, and even if you do, your certificate will have limited to no value in the job market.

The LEEA APLO course is an advanced training program meant for professionals who have already worked in lifting operations, rigging, or crane coordination. It involves complex topics like lift planning, load charts, critical lift risk assessments, and site-specific procedures. Without real-world experience, it is very difficult to understand or apply the course content effectively.

As per ADOSH (Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health Center) and ADNOC-approved training standards, the role of an Appointed Person for Lifting must be backed by documented experience. Even if someone completes the course and gets certified, they cannot legally or practically perform the job without prior lifting experience.

Employers look for professionals who have both certification and experience in lifting operations. Just having the APLO certificate without field experience will not qualify you for jobs.

The LEEA APLO course includes technical assessments, lifting plan preparation, and scenario-based evaluations. Candidates without a background in lifting often fail the assessment or struggle to complete it, leading to wasted time and money.
