WHAT ARE THE COURSE PRE- REQUISITES?
- Requiring a minimum of 4 years of experience in lifting operations or individuals holding Rigging and Slinging Training/Lifting Supervisor Certificate with at least one year of experience.
- Proficiency in English language skills (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Investigating incidents.
- Measuring Performance.

This course is intended for:
- Personnel engaged in planning and supervision of lifting activities
- Those required to conduct risk assessments and lifting plan under lifting operations regulations.

Course Content:
- Introduction
- Legislations & Key Definitions
- Crane Types & Crane Terminologies
- Crane Components & Maintenance
- Site Survey & Risk Assessment
- Lift Plan, Method Statement & Siting of Cranes
- Assessment of Loads and COG Calculations
- Classification of Lifting Operations & Crane Selection
- Load Charts, Wind Speed, Capacity Downrating & Good Operations Practice
- Lifting Accessories Practical & Assessments Carrying out a site survey
- Prepare Risk assessment and method statement
- Assessing loads and select correct lifting accessories
- Ensure that pre-use checks been done by the crane operator, slinger, and signalers
- Ensure that “No-Go Zone” has been established
- Briefing the lifting team
- Supervise the siting and setup of the crane according to the lift plan
- Supervise the lifting operation
- Ensure the safety completion of the operation and supervise the correct stowing of the crane
- Carry out a slinger & signaler duty during the lifting operation
- Written Examination
AWARDING BODY CERTIFICATION &VALIDITY
The course content and instructional standards have received approval from the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA).
Upon successfully completing the course, participants will receive a certificate accredited by LEEA with Three years Validity.

Good evening everyone. Just some background first. I'm 38 years in the line of Lifting and Rigging. My motto in life is "You are never too old to learn more". The day you think you know everything, then there is a problem. I came to the UAE a few weeks ago and was so blessed that my company sent me for a LEEA Appointed Person course at Talent Training Institute LLC.
At first, I thought it was going to be like an induction training course for 5 days. I must say from day 1, I realized this was the next level of Rigging, Lifting, Safety, Calculations, and more. The training was presented professionally, and all the Facilitators, Assessors, and Moderators were friendly. You can even have a coffee in the classroom.
